Privacy policy

Last updated: 25 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Early Responders ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit or use the job board at https://earlyresponders.com (the "Website"). We are committed to handling your data lawfully, fairly, and transparently. This Policy is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and the Republic of Lithuania Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data.

1. Who We Are (Data Controller)

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

• Early Responders
• Email: info@earlyresponders.com

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to do so. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at info@earlyresponders.com.

2. Information We Collect

• Account & profile information: name, email address, phone number, password, and similar details you provide when registering.
• Employment details: your CV/résumé, work history, certifications, skills, references, location, and job preferences.
• Transaction information: membership plan, billing details, and payment status. Card details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored by us.
• Usage & technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, listings clicked, and dates/times of access, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Please do not submit special categories of data (such as health, religion, or trade-union membership) unless necessary; where you choose to include such data in a CV or application, you consent to our processing it for that purpose.

3. How We Use Your Information and Our Legal Bases

We process your personal data for the following purposes, relying on the legal bases shown:

• To provide the Website, your account, and membership, and to process job applications — performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To process payments and manage subscriptions — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To send marketing emails and updates — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (Art. 6(1)(a)).
• Analytics, advertising, and similar cookies — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
• To secure the Website, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve our services — our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations — compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Website, and — only with your consent — analytics and advertising cookies and similar technologies (including the Meta pixel) to measure and improve our marketing. You can give, refuse, or withdraw consent at any time through our cookie banner or your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Employers and recruiters, when you apply for or express interest in a role.
• Service providers (processors) who act on our instructions, such as payment processing (e.g., Stripe), email/communications (e.g., Omnisend), analytics and advertising (e.g., Meta Platforms), and hosting and security (e.g., Cloudflare).
• Authorities or third parties, where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or safety.

6. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside the EEA, we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognised under the GDPR — such as an EU adequacy decision (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where applicable) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You may request more information about these safeguards using the contact details above.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

• Account and profile data: for as long as your account is active, and up to 24 months after it becomes inactive or is closed.
• Marketing data: until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe.
• Transaction and tax records: for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; have it corrected (rectification) or deleted (erasure); restrict or object to processing; data portability; and, where processing is based on consent, to withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@earlyresponders.com. We will respond within the time limits set by the GDPR.

9. Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lead supervisory authority is the State Data Protection Inspectorate of the Republic of Lithuania (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija) — vdai.lrv.lt. You may also contact the data protection authority in your country of residence within the EEA.

10. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to address any incident promptly.

11. Children's Privacy

The Website is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable age of digital consent.

12. Automated Decision-Making

We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. We do use analytics and advertising tools that may involve profiling for marketing measurement, which you can control through your cookie-consent choices.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.

14. Contact Us
